Formula Student
Formula Student was founded in 1979 by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and remains the world's largest student engineering competition to this day. Student teams from all academic years design, develop, and build an open-wheel single-seater race car in accordance with a highly detailed rulebook, similar to vehicles found in various FIA championships such as Hill Climb Masters, Formula 4, or Formula Renault 2.0. The prototypes then compete in a series of tests designed to assess the engineering and financial feasibility of the project, as well as the dynamic performance and reliability of the race cars. This competition provides students with real-world engineering experience, preparing them for a successful career in the industry.
- 45+ years of innovation in automotive engineering for students
- The world's largest competition dedicated to engineering students
- Student teams from across the globe design and build open-wheel race cars

T.U. Iasi Racing Team
T.U. Iași Racing is the second oldest Formula Student team in Romania, founded in 2011 within the Faculty of Mechanics at the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University. We have built 8 single-seater race cars and have participated in 12 European competitions so far. The project involves not only students from technical faculties but also those from economics, finance, journalism, and other fields. Every year, we organize recruitments to develop the team and pass on knowledge from one generation to the next.
